Choosing a Web Host For Your Tech Blog
In the world of websites and blogs there are three primary forms of hosting – shared, vps and dedicated. When you are first looking to launch your blog the most recommended form is shared hosting. Shared hosting is exactly what it sounds like – you share disk space on a server where hundreds of other web sites are also hosted. The downside to shared hosting is that besides sharing storage space, you are also sharing bandwidth and if one website suddenly becomes popular it could crash all of the sites on that server. Although it is not possible to guarantee 100% uptime for any website, you can help to avoid this issue is by picking the right web host.
I’ve spent hundred of hours migrating websites between hosts – testing shared hosts, VPS and even dedicated servers for my blogs. I’ve come to one conclusion at the end of the unnecessary time wasted – choose the right host from the start. My testing ultimately lead me to Bluehost – a share webhosting service for $6.95/month which offers a solid list of features:
* UNLIMITED Hosting Space
* UNLIMITED File Transfer
* Host UNLIMITED Domains!!!
* 2,500 POP/Imap Email Accounts
* SSH (Secure Shell), SSL, FTP, Stats
* CGI, Ruby (RoR), Perl, PHP, MySQL
* 2000/2002 Front Page Extensions
* Free Domain Forever!
* Free Site Builder
* 24/7 Superb/Responsive Sales/Support
I recommend Bluehost for Tech Blogs because their service is based on an OC-48 Backbone Connection and unlike my previous hosts I’ve never had a problem with downtime. In terms of WordPress, Bluehost uses SimpleScripts for one-click WordPress installations and upgrades. I can’t over emphasize how important one-click installs and upgrades can be when you want to start or update several tech blogs – for this reason alone the service is worth the $6.95/month. For a first-time tech blogger Bluehost gives you the full package – a lifetime domain, unlimited bandwidth and a one-click WordPress install to have you setup and ready to write within minutes of sign up. There are plenty of other hosts out there and I’m open to suggestions but when it comes to shared hosting I’ve never experienced the quality of service I do with Bluehost anywhere else.

Generate Free Blog Traffic With Eye Catching Designs
Are you thrilled with the design of your blog? As your blog becomes more popular, and you start to get a feel for who you are as a blogger, you might decide that it’s time for a design overhaul. Or, perhaps you never gave the design much thought and you are ready to now. It is extremely important to understand that a good blog design can be crucial to the success of your blog.
Here are 3 websites that are user friendly and offer killer blog designs:
1. Wp101.com is dedicated to getting new bloggers up and running fast with WordPress. It features a 17 part video tutorial on how to create and optimize a blog in the shortest amount of time. “These are the perfect videos for a newbie… and a novice. I learned things I didn’t even know I needed. You will too.”– Sheila Atwood
2. TypePod.com offers hundreds of blog designs, simple publishing tools and a large menu of professional support services to choose from. “It is easier and cheaper than ever before to launch a small business thanks, in part, to low cost online tools.”-Steve King
3. Squarespace.com is ideally suited for authors, doctors, lawyers, teachers and other professional service providers. They also provide Squarespace iPhone Application. “This is the kind of software the Internet has been crying out for.”- Wall Street Journal Online
The design itself can also be a factor. In some cases, bloggers choose themes that are just too over-the-top. Your content should be the focus here. If your actual design is distracting, and you’ll probably make fewer affiliate sales and get fewer people reading your blog. Sometimes, simple is definitely the way to go when it comes to blogging.
When you have a simple, attractive, and on-topic blog theme, you’ll find that everything else will start to come together too. Your readers will want to visit – they will want to read and add comments because the site is welcoming. Keep in mind, however, that while the design should be pleasing and on topic, it should never be the focus or a distraction. If it is the focus, then the chances are that you’ll make a lot less money than you could have otherwise.
Visit other blogs in your niche to get a feel for what kind of design you might want to use for your own blog. What themes are they using? Is their blog easy to navigate?
If you are starting to make money with your blog, then it may be time for you to purchase a flexible theme you can customize. You can even hire someone to create a theme just for you! You can use a bidding site like Elance.com or Guru.com to find the freelancer that is right for you. Having your own blog theme will allow you to have a blog design that suits your blog perfectly.
No matter whether you use a free theme, premium theme, or get one designed for you, it’s important to put some thought into your blog design. Don’t let it be a distraction, and ensure that it compliments your content and your methods of monetization.

Tips For Keeping Your Bedroom Clutter Free
Having a clean comfortable space to sleep makes all the difference in the world. If your bedroom is filled with clutter, it can make it hard to fall asleep or rest peacefully. You may often find yourself lying in bed thinking of how you would like to rearrange your bedroom or trying to think of places to put all those extra clothes that won’t fit into your closet. These distractions can keep you from getting the sleep your body needs to stay healthy.
If your bedroom is neat and organized it will help you relax and feel more comfortable, contributing to a good night sleep.
Tips for keeping your bedroom clutter free:
Get rid of anything you don’t need. This includes furniture such as tables, nightstands, dressers and items to decorate the bedroom. If your bedroom is overcrowded with these items, it will make it difficult to keep it clean and organized.
Now it’s time to sort through your clothing and get rid of anything that doesn’t fit properly or that you no longer wear for whatever reason. Don’t forget to go through your shoes as well.
Organize your jewelry. If you have more jewelry than what will fit in your jewelry box, then you can always purchase a hanging jewelry organizer. These are inexpensive and work great.
Utilize all of your storage areas. For instance, take advantage of the space under your bed with horizontal storage containers. You can use a shoe rack to keep your shoes organized in your closet instead of scattered about. If you have a corner in your bedroom that looks empty, you can use decorative storage containers to fill the area and add more storage space in your bedroom.
Take the time to make-up your bed each morning and put away all clothing. This helps to keep your bedroom looking organized and clutter free.
Using these tips will provide you with an easy and inexpensive way to get rid of the clutter and turn your bedroom into the perfect sanctuary where you can be relaxed and sleep comfortably.

Make Money Blogging – Profit Potential
It sounds unbelievable, but simple blogs being set up by everyday men and women are raking in tens of thousands of dollars each month in ad revenue and selling for upwards of $15 million. But does this mean Joe Blogger can set up his own average blog and make money blogging the same way these special cases do? If you go about it the right way, you can!
If you want to cash in with a blog of big buck proportions, then you want to set it up from start to finish in a way that helps you make money blogging through sales links, but also attracts advertisers and buyers to make you an offer you can’t refuse.
A blog can be set up in mere minutes. You register a domain (or use a free site like WordPress or Blogger), point your servers to your hosting company, click the Fantastico blog button, and it’s live!
From that point on, the secret to helping you make money blogging is in the details. What theme will you use? What layout? Do you ping or not? If this all sounds foreign to you, then don’t worry – it’s really simple once you have the right guidance.
What will you need to commit to as a part time or full time professional blogger?
1.) Frequency – you have to blog on a regular basis, which might mean weekly, but it’s best if it’s daily. The more you blog, the more often search engines visit your site.
2.) Laws – know the laws surrounding images and copyrights that you need to adhere to.
3.) Consumer needs – if you don’t know what your readers want to know about, then your readership will suffer.
If your goal is to be the next Perez Hilton, whose blog is rumored to make over $50,000 a month in ad space, or sell your blog like Bankoholic.com’s owner just did for a cool $15 mil, then you’ll want to discover the intricate details of adding the best bells and whistles to your blog.
At first, you may only make a few dollars a day in AdSense revenue, but your blog will quickly become fodder for the search engine spiders like Googlebots, who will hand deliver buyers and advertisers to your virtual door with a knock and a fist full of cash for you to consider.

Choosing the Blogging Platform
There are various options when you are creating a blog. Which platform you are going to choose and what is best for blogging? I have made blogs almost on every platform. So I know what is suitable for me. So when someone wants to know what he should do – I tell him about the options.
Make a blog in Blogger’s platform
Make a blog in WordPress.com
Blog with your own .com domain and paid hosting.
Why I gave three choices? Because, I think these are the most familiar and popular ways. You should know that there are several other free blogging platforms to choose from. You can have the details blogging list in my E-Book.
1st: The first one is to make a free blog in Blogger’s platform. You can have a blog in Blogspot if you have a Gmail account. Blogspot is a free blogging platform for the bloggers. Nothing to worry about as this is a Google service. You can have plenty of space (blogs actually needs little space) and a 1GB picture hosting from Picasa. Again you can attach your .com domain in Blogspot’s blog. So it’s easy to have a professional looking blog on here.
Google indexes the Blogspot’s blog a little bit earlier than other blogs. Actually Google prefers the blog hosting here. So you can have auto search engine optimized blog for free. This is the main reason why I always suggest making a free blog at Blogspot’s blog. They are Google’s preferred ones. Go to Blogspot.com, enter your Gmail user details and login with that. And you are ready, start making your blog right now.
2nd: When making a free blog in WordPress.com, it’s easy to start a new one. Go to the home page at WordPress.com and click the “Sign up Now” button. You will be redirected to the signup page and you have everything ready on that page. Choose a user name or blog address. You have to provide an e-mail address too. They will send the information on that e-mail address. And then you have to confirm your e-mail address to proceed on.
3rd: Otherwise, there is a third option to make a blog by having a paid hosting and your own domain. You may use the WordPress software to do that. Most of the bloggers prefers it. For that you have to upload your blog software in your root folder or as described in your hosting manual. Install it as described, choose a nice template and if needed do a little bit customization. And you are ready to start a blog. Remember that when you have a blog on your own paid hosting you have lots of independence to do whatever you wish and again you have to work hard to make it popular too.
What I did
I have my own .com domain and a free cPanel hosting for this blog. I will upgrade someday into a paid hosting. I installed the WordPress software for the blogging platform and even I have a free theme for this blog. So I mixed up things to make this blog. A part is paid and a part is free. Yet this is not hosted on Blogspot or on WordPress. I prefer the free things that look like professional.
So it’s now up to you- what you need and where you need. The vast web resources are free to explore. Ask me anything you wish to know. In the later part I will be describing more about making the choices.

Niche Blogging – Simple Tips to Help You Create Passive Income Every Month Through Blogging
Are you interested in niche blogging for a full-time income? Who wouldn’t be! As jobs become scarce, and prices creep up, more and more families are looking for a way to supplement their current income and even replace it. Blogging is providing an answer for many of them.
Blogging is easy to do from home. All you need is computer with a decent Internet connection. You also need a topic. For this, the narrower the topic, the better. Of course, you don’t want so specific of a topic that you can’t write more than a few posts on it. The most popular blogs take a common topic and create their own twist on it. For example, Julie and Julia was based on a blog about cooking from Julia Child’s cookbooks.
Make sure you choose a niche you are interested in. This makes about a lot easier to write a post every day. And that is really what you will need to do until your blog gets popular. You should expect to write many posts before you start making money.
You also want to promote your blog. The easiest way to do this is by making relevant comments on related sites. This will get you visitors and help you build relationships. Over time, it will help your blog grow in popularity.
Finally, you’ll need to monetize your blog correctly. In some cases, you may want to wait to insert ads until you’ve established your reader base. However, it can be helpful to make even a few pennies in the early days. You can use AdSense, sell ad space, or promote related products.
Creating a niche blog is not hard. It just takes a little bit of work every day, then you may eventually have a site bringing in an income which rivals your day job.

Money Making Ideas – How to Make Money With a Free Blogger Blog
Today, everybody knows what a blog is, and many people have a blog either for personal or business use.
One of the first (if not THE first) sites to offer free space for bloggers, was Blogger.com.
And today, this site is still something special. Blogger is owned by Google, and you are allowed to put AdSense on your blog, and to advertise in other ways.
This makes it a great opportunity for people who want to make money online, but don’t want to spend a large amount of money up front.
Create an Account
Before you can start creating your first blog, you have to register with Blogger. If you already have a Gmail address, this makes the task so much easier. Otherwise, you’ll need to obtain one in the process of setting up your blog. Your Gmail address will be used as your username to log into Blogger in the future.
Choose a Great Name for your Blog
As soon as your account is finalised, you can start creating your first blog.
In order for it to be found as easily as possible, you should put relevant keywords in the title. I know that a title like “Little Miss Kitty’s Blog” sounds cute, but it doesn’t tell your readers much about what it is you are writing. “Great Tips to the Linux PC” is so much clearer.
Now you have to find an address for the blog. This is a very important step, too. Try to put the same keywords in the URL, if possible. In this case, I would try “linuxpctips” and it turns out that, at this very moment, this address is available.
Copy the letters you see in the verification, and continue.
Choose a Simple Design
Some of the templates offer splendid colors, but the more clean and minimal theme you choose, the more people will concentrate on the content instead of the design.
And you want them to focus on the content!
How to Monetize Your Blogger Blog
There are several ways in which you can monetize your blog. The easiest way is just by adding AdSense ads from Google. One of my friends posts a few jokes each week, and he actually makes a profit this way.
You could also acquire articles from article directories, put them on your blog, and make money from the ads.
Another way is to write your own content, related to an affiliate product. You could do a review of the product, and have your affiliate link attached.

Easy Blog Money May Be Just a Click Away
If you’ve been blogging a while, money may already be coming to you whenever you ask for it. Once you’ve got a well established blog with a good sized, regular readership, you can make easy blog money with advertising.
You can host sponsored links or banners or promote another’s products for commission and you can see almost instant results from what maybe started as a fun hobby.
Even if you didn’t start your blog with the intention of turning a profit, your blog may well be making a nice little supplementary income.
Sounds wonderful doesn’t it? Well, it’s reality for some bloggers in the marketplace and there are ways that you can make easy blog money too if you aren’t already.
For some, who have been blogging for months or even years, the income from advertising revenue may not add up to much. The amount of income you can make as a blogger depends on a lot of different factors, but the most important of these is the topic of your blog.
If your blog is very specialised and only appeals to a small audience, then you may find it harder to find advertisers who’ll pay you for space on your site. Even more difficult, is a blog which isn’t focused on a particular theme. It all comes down to having what the advertisers want. If you don’t have the broadcast range, then they may not come.
The best way to find this out is to offer advertising space on your website and find out what happens. Advertise that you have space on your blog. Put up a banner promoting the fact. Head to blog and ezine directories to see who you can find that’s looking for space and just test out the waters. You never know what you may find, and you have absolutely nothing to lose and maybe a whole lot of easy blog money to gain.

Promote Your Blog Using Online Video Websites
Blogs are without doubt the biggest thing to the internet almost since the internet itself. Blog as so popular it’s almost as if everyone has their own blog or two to share. While blogs are great, their popularity also makes them among some tough competition for the viewing audience. Creating the blog is as easy as filling in the blank spaces but most bloggers are not aware of how to get their blogs to the front of the line for internet traffic. There are few tips and tricks that can be used to increase your page views although.
Naturally the first step to get hits on your blog is to be sure to have an interesting subject. If you are writing about your professional life be aware that you might find your work fascinating, this may not be particularly exciting for someone else. I have no doubt that what you do does interest many people, but this audience will need to be specifically sought. However if you broaden your subject range you are widening your blogs appeal and target.
When you have decided on your subject matters you can then go about creating your blog. When creating your blogs content be sure to keep it useful for your intended subject. Trick two for content creation, make lots and lots. It is the content that search engines read and index to provide relevant websites to search engine queries, hence the popularity of the blog.
Ideally a high search engine ranking is what increases traffic to your page, but high rankings are not so easily achieved. If your blog appears in page 5 of the search results, the chances are it won’t even get viewed by the searcher who has moved on after page two or three. This does not mean you don’t stand a chance. It does mean that you really should explore a few other ways to attract traffic to your blog.
One of the hottest things behind blogs today are video websites, especially free video websites. These sites allow members to upload their own video creations to be shared online with the internet community. Once a video has been uploaded to a video website it has the potential to promote your blog to the many thousands of browsers surfing the video website. Video websites are an affordable and even free marketing tool for your blog, product or service.
Before you can take advantage of the opportunity to promote your blog using video websites you must actually create the video. You could use your trusty camcorder or even just your webcam. It is important that you should not appear to be spamming your audience, keep it subtle. Let the audience know what theme and intention your blog represents, and a little of what they are likely to find on your blog. Another idea you might consider are perhaps recording yourself or someone visiting your blog and showing off a few of your blogs features using still shots or screen captures.
Once your video has been created, you can upload it to your favorite video website. You may first consider editing your video using one of the many available video editing software applications available on the internet and save it on your computer. Then it’s just a matter of following the steps to upload it to the video website.
It’s important to remember that promoting your blog using video websites does not guarantee increased traffic, but it is a matter of not doing anything to promote your blog isn’t likely to help either. With the fact that most video hosting offered on line being free, and likely traffic your video does attract can be considered free hits.
More Tips and Tricks and even making your video can be found at http://www.vid121.com
